A Way to Preserve Mobility
Gaitkeeping is a methodology people with Parkinson’s can use to better coordinate their walk, and prolong their independence.
How It Works
By teaching PwPs how to analyze their gait in the context of PD, and to incorporate
a progression of movement strategies into their daily lives, Gaitkeeping aims to give
students…
Enhanced
Coordination
A Deeper Understanding
of how Parkinson’s affects your walk
A Safety Net
of strategies to power your walk during medication fluctuations, giving you more security when moving outside
Prolonged Independence
from the ability to catch small deteriorations before they get big, and to reinforce and fortify healthy walking patterns
Built On
Real Experience
For over 15 years Pamela Quinn has been helping people with Parkinson’s achieve greater mobility through group classes, one-on-one instruction, and large scale dance performances. For over 25 years she has been living with the disease herself. Gaitkeeping is her attempt to synthesize her professional and personal experience into a single program to help PwPs preserve the most essential component of their independence: their walk.
